Good shot Jeff. Its too bad that you cut out part of the bird on the left. I would give it a bit of a tighter crop and eliminate the "dead" space on the right of the frame.

Harry i saved it for a bb shot it was a not so good shot but a good joke shot [i have a lot of not so good shots :cry ] jeff
One of them is on a thread I did tonight and put on Other Cool Shots. It is title something like Dixie Blew into Charleston on Saturday. I ended it with an egret shot from Sat.
Other than that, I have no energy left, didn't then, but thought that had to be timely. And I had to get a shot ready for a challenge. I have a whole CF card I haven't uploaded yet, very unusual for me. I might do it now. I am not doing any bird shooting in the next few days, not that I know of, and certainly not egrets, so I am kind of cherishing them in my heart. That kind of thing.
Lord, yesterday morning, I was rushing to get ready for Dixie and I fell down the stairs. Was worried I had ruined the day, but only messed my back up a bit. Then while we were shooting the birds, I went to steady myself on a tree, tripped on one of those things sticking up from the ground and hit myself on the head from something sticking out from the tree. I just did not want to pass out or fall down in front of Dixie, but it hurt and now it is red and blue.
And this morning I shot a baptism. I thought I was dizzy until I discovered that there was no way I was going to get that popup flash from the 20D to pop up, to say the least of work. I had the manual, read everything I could, and tried everything.
Thank dog for the monopod. I had them hold the doors open, and I took a photo with available light using the monopod. I haven't uploaded it yet, but I have every reason to think it worked. I was so busy thinking, all dizziness left.
Then we went downtown so I could shoot the prices of a gas station, and I ended up in a park taking another gb of photos, on top of the one I already had. I even got a homeless couple. I asked their permission. They said if I didn't mind taking a photo of a homeless couple with one in a wheelchair. I actually said, "No, I think that is exciting".
Anyway, too tired to do birds tonight. Want to do them when I can appreciate them. I put my gas station on the challenge thread with no work except doing a keystone number on it. I looked at it and thought, this doesn't need anything and saved it to jpeg.
I do love your joke birds. I do that sometimes, put a photo on as an adjunct to a point or a story. The photo not really being that important in my life, and I get all sorts of advice about how to fix the photo and no comments on the thought, joke or whatever that the photo was for. I always think, HUH?
I loved it.........the rats are taking over. Well the egrets are procreating like mad right now.......there will be more egrets. Where they will be is the question.
ginger (I took a few little birds today, too. But I am not sure how they will come out.)
