Digital Download upsizing

I wasn't sure where to put this thread so I started here.
I have some shots from an AMA race that were shot with a 1D and I had to do some cropping on some. I want to put them up and make a 4Mpix download available but that will require upsizing them. I plan to do that with LR but I am unsure what do about the DPI. Do I use 72dpi and then let the lab upsample them for bigger prints or should I set them higher?
I have played with a few and I am not sure if I am doing it correctly, but I can't really tell too much difference after they were unsized, is that pretty normal? Should I expect some type of IQ loss?

Don't worry about DPI. It's literally just a number. The lab will take care of further upsizing for you. Check out "Upscaling and Why DPI doesn't matter" here http://dgrin.smugmug.com/gallery/2996921
If you find there's no way around upscaling, and it sounds like for you and a 4MP Digital Download, there isn't, upscale no more than 10% at a time, even if it takes 10 upscales. This lets the routine build on the newly generated pixels, instead of guessing for ALL of them right from the start.
If you'd like for us to take a look at the final upscales, link us to the gallery and we'll be happy to give you our 2 cents.

The big thing was that I didn't want to offer a 4mpx size and then have it be substandard because of upping it form a lower res. Hopefully next time I will have better access and more time so I don't have to crop as much (or maybe even a MkII or better or a 500L would be nice )
Here is the galleries, I hope they will be fine at 1Mp and originals for downloads. As far as prints, I also wasn't sure what to offer so for the moment I have the biggest at 8x10, would bigger sizes be advisable?
