Yesterday was a special day for me, as I had the opportunity to capture this young fellow's two year old portraits. This project began 4 years ago by another photographer whom I have never met. He met this little guy's mother and older brother at this very location to capture the brother's two year old portraits. Their mother hired me last year to do his sisters two year old pics(she was my very first paying customer....ever!!!). This year it was Jung-Wook's turn. Mom had purchased three matching frames long ago that holds 9 photos in a 4x6 size. Her project has been to fill those frames as her kiddos turn two.
It is funny remembering how intimidated I was last year that my first customer would be a two year old girl. I have gotten over that, and was actually looking forward to this session.

Thanks. Unfortunately she won't be able to use that one for her project. She needs vertical crops.
Yes he's two. We were a little late on the 1st year shots. I think he was 14 months or so when we did them.

Thanks Swartzy,
Your right....childrens portraits has the potential to be a ton of fun. It is shocking to me the difference a year or two makes in their ability to cooperate. This little guy required jelly bean bribes...yet his older brother can take direction very well. Just goes to show you how fast they grow up!
Yeah!...I got paid!...to take photographs!..pinch me!!!

Yes the hambok was worn for his first year portraits, and is quite the attention getter. I remember him just beaming when his mom dressed him in it. So proud of himself.
As for what the parents want in print? I give up trying to figure that out as I am ever more surprised at choices. His mom's tastes seem to run parallel to mine for photography though, so maybe you are right!
