Roedown hosts the Marlborough Hunt Races despite chilly, rainy weather. The weather forecasters said sun....:rofl

Some friends of mine reserved two rail spots and we set up tents and a grill and enjoyed a wide variety of potent potables.

The first two races are children's races on ponies -

Then, it was on to the TBs and jockeys

Jockey and horse were quite lucky and they made a nice spot for themselves (and others) to go through later.

Very nice. You did well considering the available light. I particularly like the last one as i was given my first horse when i was 4 & it was a daple...sort of like your first girlfriend i suppose, you never forget them.

Very Nice, what lens are you using?

    looks like a 70-200?

Thanks gus and sportsshooter! I had the good old trashbag and duct tape rain guard on the camera for most of the day. I think two races were rain free. Gus, I've got a gray too. :):

Sportsshooter, yes I was using the 70-200 on the D300. There are many different focus modes on the D300, but I've noticed that the focus isn't 100% accurate or fast in low contrast situations. It was pretty low contrast that day, but overall I think the D300 did well.
