I love the colors and the high key light.
Thanks for sharing!

I think you ought to come up with some big poster so you can see the all, they are great!

When I look at them in a dark room on a calibrated monitor I get so much white from the mattes/frames you have around the images it is hard for me to visually process the colors and range. Printed on paper I'm not going to have to adjust my eyes as I am on a monitor.
Is the shirt better on the first or second pic?
or is this one better:
I really like your images but I'm having a difficult time seeing them.
(BTW: the shirt image is the same in both pics above.)
Cheers!

Just stunning. The compositions, processing, depth of focus...everything is perfect.

Yes, I really enjoyed shooting those photos, she's just the most gorgeous little girl! Can't wait to see her growing ...
Haha, yes the parents were quite happy with them. I sent them a little teaser before I gave them the CD, and I met mom on the street the day after and she had the picture that I sent her printed out in wallet form because she loved it so much
I do have to say though, I wish I would have a room like that (the room where I shot the photos). I don't have a studio (well, I have parts of it), so I just visited the family & shot the photos in the baby room .... the room get's reflected light from an other (bright) building, so I didn't even use my flash ....
Davidweaver: I understand your critique. However I always had the feeling that black backgrounds swallow the colors. Yes, I think you can see the dark t-shirt better on the black background, however if you have a light colored photo, it will disappear on a black background (that's at least my opinion ...). Thanks for your comment!
Thanks again!
Were the parents in the room while you shot? Getting ready to do a similar shoot for my newphew's first birthday.

Thanks Evoryware! No, the parents weren't in the room. In the very end the nanny joined us for some photos ...
Oh, good luck with your nephew! I guess in that age I wouldn't worry about posing him too much, just shoot some series of "action" photos to show his character & different smiles. I had some kids in that age the past few months, and all the parents really enjoyed seeing the different smiles.
Enjoy
