I have been lucky enough to borrow a nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro for the week and today (public holiday here in Aus) was able to get out and try it out. This is my first go with any kind of a macro setup and I must say, its fantastically fun I was quite pleased with some of the results. Here are some of my better shots.
#1 - Honey Bee (I think.. I dont know much at all about bug/flower species)
#2 - Dandelion
#3 - Bee again
#4 - Some kind of fly
#5 - Dandelion again
#6 - Bee hiding..
All of these are uncropped (havnt got round to that yet)
Please let me know what you think. C&C Appreciated

Whoever lent you the macro gear was brave - they mighn't get it back - it can be very addictive!
You've got some nice pictures there. Number three is called a Blue bottle fly - it's part of the blow fly family.
Look forward to seeing some more from you.
