Both of these are first time captures for me. They were found in the azelia which has started to flower, mixed in with the usual suspects; the bumble bees, carpenter bees, paper wasps and the yellow jackets. Quite a busy bush right now, and it deserves a cautious approach.

Been watching these bees for a few days now, and made quite a few attempts to shoot it. Very quick bee that sticks its head into the flower very quickly and then flies to another flower. Needless to say, I got quite a few butt shots, but no heads.

Eyes are a little soft, but I was happy to finally capture one of my own.
