I am off to the carribean soon for 3 weeks of relaxation...Figured this would be the place I could really put a GND filter to use. Question is which one do I go with..Soft or hard edge filter ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Your link doesn't appear to be working. I think this version will work better.

Well, for what its worth to me, I find myself using a hard-ND filter far more than a soft ND in seascape photos because of the ease of lining up the land/ocean. However if you have more than a .6 nd filter, you might not like the results as it will likely shadow anything in the upper part of your frame that you didnt intend to darken.
