Attended a local photo workshop today to learn about shooting with strobes-

After a 30 minute lecture on using a light meter to set up the shot we had to go out into the lot and do it all ourselves.

Here are a few of my shots from the session- single strobe w/softbox-pocket wizard- and handheld

Nice shots. It's amazing what you can accomplish with one flash!

Very nice job - especially considering this was a class/workshop situation and you have little (if any) experience with either a flash meter or strobes. Either you are a quick study or you had a very good instructor - or both!

And, like Mark said, isn't is amazing what can be done with just one strobe?

Oh, BTW - once you get your strobe(s), then you'll want to convert the garage/living room into a home studio - it just never ends!

I agree- I was very glad to see these results from just one light- means I might be able to afford to get into shooting like this before the end of the year. :D
