Gonna have another baby!

Just found out Jeanna (wife) and I are gonna have a second baby thumping around in about 8 months. :D We've been blessed w/ an awesome child and fully plan on having a repeat. (no reality checks please. this is a good news thread only)

We live about 6 hours away from the closest family right now though and I'm trying to come up w/a fun/creative way to tell all the folks the good news. We'll tell the grandparents in person, but we have tons of friends in the Puget Sound area and wanted to let them all know at once.

BTW: I was even thinking about developing a website for ppl to visit, but can't think up any content for it..

Any ideas? :ear

    Huge congrats man! Have yaw already started thinking of names?

    I can't think of anything creativer right now. Our local radio station will make announcements like birthdays, babies, engagements, and such. It's not really personal but easy to tell a bunch of people at once.

    You know we'll fully expect rugrat pics :D

    Have you thought about doing pregnancy pics - like of Jeanna's profile from the side so you can string together a slideshow chronicling the belly expansion?

    Make a flash game for them to play to discover the news? It would be an interactive way to find out!

    For a web site, along with the idea of profile pictures and pick a name, how about guess the date, guess the sex, guess the weight.

    That sounds great. Just a simple page w/ a series of polls for sex, name etc.

    Here's the plan. Its going to be a boy, so he'll want to play football, so you'll want to take good shots of him. So - you have to buy that 70-200f2.8L and 300f2.8L now to practice for when the day comes.

    Doing anything else wouldn't be fair to your son.........

    Convince your wife all this, and you are a better salesman than I am!

    Congrats.
    We told our family by getting a t-shirt for my then 1 1/2 year old that said 'guess what' on the front and 'i'm going to be a big brother' on the back. Sent a photo of him in it through the email function on smugmug.

    Congratulations! We recently had our 2nd and it's definitely been an adventure.

    I scanned one of our ultrasound images and quietly put it up on my smugmug site... people noticed! :D

    My brother did the same thing. Sent out a link of recent photos. My niece was wearing a shirt that said I am going to be a big sister.

    Boy = Noah
    Girl = I have no idea. Wifey goes through the thousands of names and I just pick the top 10 :D

    She's good at creative thinking and I'm good at making final decisions. We're a pretty good team :)

    I won't say your too old as long as you give me a baby shower gift. Something along the lines of a discounted 12-24.. rolleyes1.gif

    So we met w/ the grandparents in Portland just to get together for the weekend. It was a blast, but the grandparents weren't too quick. Our daughter was wearing this shirt for over 30 minutes in the restaurant before I practically had to hold their heads still to look at what the shirt read.

    Try to be creative.. Sheesh :D
