So, even though this is simulated IR (my camera wont work with true IR filters) I loved the result that came out using Nik's IR filter. This is one of my favorite spots in the Dallas Divide outside of Ridgway, CO.

ISO 100 / F16 / 5 second exposure with a Canon 35mm f1.4L.

Thanks for looking :thumb

The trees in front lead my eyes right through the photo to the clouds in the sky thumb.gif

This is a great pic... I would love to see it in B&W too. Those clouds look dramatic...:ivar

Thanks all. The great part of photography for me is experimenting with all sorts of different styles and compositions. I'm always learning, always trying to find new and great ways to make each photo as unique as possible.

By the way, here is the original print before the IR transfer.

Wow! I never would have thought to make it IR with such colors like that.

They do make two very different photos, however.

    Love 'em both :D

Thanks Schmoo. I've been trying a few different looks for the IR. Here's one that didnt quite work as well for fall colors.

Wow, some of the best results I've seen from using an IR filter in PP. They are so sharp. I really like the colour version too but the IR has a great mood about it!!

    Thanks for sharing these

I like the nice colors of the original more. It's nice IMO.
