I like it. Could that also be considered a Macro shot? thumb.gif

I like this a lot. Great color and texture. I would try to do something so that the transition to the black hole is less abrupt, which could give some depth. You could play around with a radial gradient and perhaps a drop shadow.

BTW, what the hell is it? Not that it matters. :D

    Cheers,

Looks like a rusty washer to me, which is why I am thinking Macro!

Thanks Don. Appreciate it. Its macro in the sense that it is a close up taken
with a 17-50mm at 47mm. As close as I could get and acquire focus.
Picture here is full frame no crop.

    Cheers,
Thank you Richard. I'm pleased that you like this one.
I agree with you about the edge. Its pretty harsh. Didn't know what to
do about it just yet so I left it alone. I like both your ideas. If either / both can be
done neatly to just ever so slightly soften that I edge I'm going to look into it.

Course I don't know how to do either one so its going to take me a bit to
    figure it out. :D

What is it you ask. Thats a good sign in an abstract. rolleyes1.gif
I believe its called a furrowing disk. About 24" round in this case.
Its been curing for years in the weather, covering one of my barrels, just
waiting for me to take notice.

I like this one a lot. Now I've got to go back and read Stephen Hawkins' book again so I can understand the picture. Nice work.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Appreciate your input black mamba. Thank you!
Stephen Hawkins' book on topic for the lay person (the one I read :D) is
worth dusting off again. In say..... 10 years. mwink.gif

Very nice of you to say Howard. My thanks. thumb.gif

Titles can be a real problem for me..... Like 90% of the time, but this one came
quick and seemed to fit. Think I'll keep it. :D Michael

If you'll read a prior DaddyO post on this thread it will tell you what this is.

I'd say the newer rendition does improve the image, but it was stronger than dirt ( even Ajax can't get it off ) as it was. Blow it up and frame it.
