stuck with GPS and Mapping feature

OK, so I'm sure I'm just not hitting the correct button, but....

I have a geo-tagged photo up. In the "owner's view" I can see it on the map. When I go to visitor's view, I get nuthin. The gallery is already public. The gps data is there, when you go to edit geography. I tried hitting update as well just to see if it will jumpstart.

Any suggestions on what I am missing?? Do I have to upload using a certain loader or something. :dunno

but when I navigate to http://maps.smugmug.com/?feedType=geoAlbum&Data=4801856_bTxJz, I don't see any photo being displayed.

Hi Andy, thanks for the reply. Sure, I can wait, but how long does it need to catch up? It has been 24 hours since I uploaded those files but I haven't seen anything yet. Just want to make sure that my photos have been geo-tagged correctly.

Still experienceing the same problem. Maps when I am in "owners view", nothing when I go to "visitor's view", or when I am not logged in.

On your front page the map doesnt work - I just get a gray box but when I go into the gallery and ask it to MAP THIS it works.

What program do you use that rights the location info at the bottom of the image. I kind of like that!

I use a program called RoboGeo.

Any idea why the map on the front page isn't working. This is getting frustrating.

MapThis not working
I'm having a simlar problem. Geotagged photos from last sumer show up on the map on my home page, but "MapThis" link in the gallery takes me to map with no photos. Also click on the pins in the map on my home pages takes me to the correct location, but with no photo.

I think something is broken. Mapping is no longer working for a geotagged gallery that I uploaded last August.

I have exactly the same problem. When is this supposed to be fixed ?

Pretty slick... how did you get the track to show up? Do you need google earth pro with that....??

Pro is not needed. I took the track log from my GPS and used GPS TrackMaker (free at http://www.gpstm.com/) to transform it into a Google Earth file. I have a very basic GPS, Magellan eXplorist 210, that I really only use to map my route afterwards and to geocode my photos.

Google maps not working for me either. In Safari, when I try to get a map, I get diverted to another gallery:

In Firefox, it brings up Google Maps, but just hangs on loading photos. I only have one, it is a test photo to see if I can get my GPS track data into the photo. The data is there, but maps is busted.

As near as I can tell, pretty much all of the "map this" buttons and links are broken, usually with zero images found. I talked to one of the smug sorcerers, he said there's a known issue and a fix forthcoming... I'm sure some thursday night it will all just magically work again.

Please make sure that all mapped photos have a caption or they won't show on the large map. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY... I only have one Gallery with GPS info on the pictures. The gallery has the Geography option ON, Share On, Public On, and all pictures have caption: http://www.celsodiniz.com/gallery/4855122_hP7ZR#289175954_vjxHd

And I have Google Map Keys set for both http://www.celsodiniz.com and http://celsodiniz.smugmug.com

However, when I am not logged in my homepage shows nothing else than a gray baox on the Around the World box... And when I am logged in I can see the little greens ballons on the map over Yosemite regions, however when I click on some of those ballons I get a map with 0 photos. And some other ballons take me to this message page http://maps.smugmug.com/?feedType=geoUser&Data=CelsoDiniz&Latitude=37.7171666667&Longitude=-119.661833333&zoom=6 and this message: "andy williams (maps)'s Home | This is my: Friend · Family - No galleries found"

And I have cleaned up all cookies and temporary files both on FireFox and Internet Explorer before trying it the last time. I also tried to search by Gallery with the Gallery Number but then again it did not work...

So, pleeeease, HELP !

Not working for me either. When I click on a photo with GPS info (http://digitalmason.smugmug.com/gallery/4869285_jNjGx#290215277_oERM5), I get sent to a blank page that says "andy williams (maps)'s photos"

Same here. I get the same behavior about 80% of the time as cmason is getting. This is on two different computers with two different Google Map API keys for my site and both with IE and Firefox.

Every now and then I get my own pictures, but 90% of the time it's dgrin's test gallery.

Something is definitely hosed.
