Barn of Impending Evil

I couldn't get the feel that I had in my mind's eye with the shots I took, so I used PS to get it there. The watercolor plugin helped.

    This is interesting, but I don't know what you are trying to show, exactly. Are we supposed to wonder if this building has some dark secrect? I think it would be more dramatic with off center framing of the door. Perhaps a very low camera angle to bring the path right into the bottom front with some distortion or focus issues. The two trees are interesting, but the one on the right is far more interesting. Having them both makes the image busy, IMHO.
    If not now, when?

    i have to agree. there's a lot going on in this picture making it difficult to focus on any one element and the trees overpower the barn.

    Thanks for the comments.

    To me, the shot just looks dark and foreboding, like something can be behind the trees or in the barn. I didn't like the original anyway, so you're seeing what I saw was wrong with it to begin with. I was forcing it.umph.gif
