I'm looking to pick up a 24-70 f2.8/L USM or a 17-55 f2.8 IS USM for the increased speed... it's been a very hard decision to come to, but I think the 2.8 would really benefit me in a few situations I've been shooting lately.
This lens sells for new for 1,059 at B&H. I would like 900 for it. (Shipping is included in this price... Paypal add 3% for credit card payments)
It is in great condition, I purchased it originally on here from rebelxtnewbie. The only thing that shows some wear is the hood which has a little "hood rash" from my constant usage of it (I almost never use the lens without the hood).
here's what I mean by the slight wear on the hood:
And here you can read the date code:

I have a TON of photos taken with this lens on my website... 98% of my Japan 2008 photos were with this lens, if you go to my currently featured galleries right now the bridal shower and curry dinner photos were taken soley with this lens. It has been a fantastic performer. I'm just really craving the speed of 2.8 for some of my low light photography.
Edited: I edited it to also mention that I'm willing to take a 17-55 trade.

If anyone wants to buy this (and not trade) I'd be able to buy 24-70 from rebelxtnewbie (the same person who sold me this lens, lol) that he's advertising on the forums... just need some help funding it!
Any takers?

Looks like he may be keeping his 24-70... but I left a message... still open to anyone who would like this though as the other thread doesn't sound super promising

She is both a great person and good to deal with
She works with me for taking fotos as VU and I have seen this lens. I used it on occasion and it works awesome! tack on focus... even got some good indoor- bball shots with it!
Have no fears about this seller.
(and i'm excited for her to have the 24-70 too haha)

Do you need a 70-200 2.8L ??
Thanks !

Unfortunately unless we're trading my Sigma 70-200 2.8, no. Then I'd just have that range duplicated. Sorry!

Pindy and I are indeed going to trade, lens is no longer available.

I'll vouch for Pindy - my 100/2.8 macro purchase was fast and very smooth.

Thanks. Pindy has been awesome to deal with.
After I pay off my 40D body I fully intend to purchase a 100/2.8 macro on that side note. How do you like yours so far?
