SmugMug Development Question

Hello. I'm sorry to bust onto the forum with questions straight away, but I was referred to this spot by Rich, in support.
I'm working on a quasi-embedded (i.e. not web) slideshow application that absolutely has to run in Safari 2.0.x. My working app is plagued with a memory leak, which, if ActivityMonitor is correct, SmugMug's player doesn't have.
I was wondering whether the source was licensable, and if not, what method the developers used to load the images. I've tried the loader class, loadMovie, etc., and the result is always the same.
