One comment though is once the mother is introduced the high contrast treatment is not working as well for me.
There is no detail at all in her jumper which makes it look a little like the baby and her head are floating in mid air. And I think the skin tones are too blown out and white.
As I say this seams to work with baby on its own but with mother (for some reason I can't quite explain) I don't like it. Maybe because it makes it feel harsh and clinical when the image is about love and tenderness

Just has a second look and another idea. The first two are more like a still life shot, so contrast and sharpness are good. With mother they become portraits and the sharpness feels uncomforatble

Love the use of the bowl. I hope it was the clients so she can remember how small her little one used to be. Beautiful series!
