Nice action shot! I think it would be better if the server's foot wasn't cut off and the older people weren't in the background. I would almost play with this shot in photoshop to see if they could be cloned out.

I like the story that's being told here - Well done.

    The foot - oh well.

The older folks, that makes the photo for me - a juxtaposition of sorts.

Looks to be a touch under-exposed/dark though.

    Great shot.

Did you hold the button down? I'd like to see the moment he made contact with the ball. Or, maybe the moment after.

I also agree with Scott. Nasty backlighting.

Nice action! Like Scott, I like seeing the old folks in the background. The variety of people enjoying the beach is one reason I like to shoot there nearly every week. This is one of my favorite shots doing just that. The foot doesn't bother me, but you could always extend the canvass at the bottom slightly to give it some breathing room. I doubt there is enough toe missing to even notice. Welcome to the forum, by the way!

I like the story too but agree it is too dark. You need to make it pop!

I suggest working on you white and black points as overall it has a muddy brown sort of colour and feel.

It would be nice if his shorts where white
