Google Cache (probably the wrong forum but maybe someone can advise)

Hi,

I recently posted a question in these forums as I was having problems with the site password on my site.

So that someone could re-test my site I posted the site password in the forum.

The problem I now have is that google has cached the page including my password (which I have now removed from the original thread)!

End result is that if someone now googles my site rather than entering the web-address directly, one of the first search result is the forum post which includes my passord on the search results screen.

Any ideas how this can be removed? Removing the thread itself wouldn't work as google would still have it cahced. Updating the thread hasn't worked so far though I assume google will re-cache eventually.

One suggestion was that the cahce gets updated more regularly the more pages link back to the cached page so maybe this post itself will help!

Appreciate that this is probably a question for a google forum, but you never know!

Anyway, feel free, google me, see if you too can find my password!

Tom
