bulk album settings help!!!!

i am attempting to change all of my passwords for all of my galleries to one consistent password. i changed it in one gallery and saves it as a new quick setting. i then try to to a bulk settings and apply this new quickset to all of my galleries, i click select all and apply or whatever but it doesnt change it. WHY?
