Hi David,i thik a bit of "levels " would have done the job. second version looks over prossesed, very bright highlights.

Hi David, the Macros looking pretty good.
1st image is too dark, second is over done, you sort of need to be in the middle of these.... you'll work it out.

This whole photography thing is less then 1.5 yrs old and I'm trying to do it all. I see the images others post and I'm amazed. Here is one more. Is this considered Macro or close up?
