Over 10,000 people signed up for this year’s “Race for the Cure” 5K and 1 mile race in Winston-Salem, NC. A beautiful day and I brought my camera. My girlfriend and mom ran the 5K, I spectated with my camera. I took about 150 pics and here are some of my favorites:
Pink and white are the support color for Breast Cancer awareness
8:00 in the AM, people are getting ready to run in historic downtown
Even our four-legged friends are showing up
Security was tight
But they were just overwhelmed by the shear amount of people
Signs, signs, everywhere there's signs
Police escorted the runners on BMW R1200RTP's, very nice
But they were still squids
Runners, on your MARKS!!
GO!!!
Quit taking pictures of me, creep
The young raced
And the old
The determined
and the sweaty
They were all having a blast
But she was still waiting for her favorite to show up
Our four-legged friends were even doing well
All ran for those who did, and those who didn't
Old Salem. No real story, just some fun pics.

Factory (not really historic, or in Old Salem but I like it)
This is a "living history" place
The British are coming!!
Well, back to city life

I've marshaled bike rides in the past on my old RT (lighter than the RTP but
otherwise the same). You can definitely hoon it up on one
