Square thumb bug?

I'm trying to change the thumbs here:

I did it by going to "Customize Gallery" then selecting the "Square Thumbs" button and clicking "Save".
However, the thumbs never changed. Nor did it change in any gallery I tried to adjust (I did all non-square galleries).
Is it a bug? Or, am I just completely losing my mind? :lol3
