Oklahoma Flycatcher

Went on a short walkabout at lunch Friday at the State Capitol and found our state bird hanging out. He had great colors.

    These are one of my favorite birds! I love these guys. They are very vocal and I love the way they fly with their tails spread out like open scissors. We have the mockingbird here in Texas as our state bird but the unofficial one has to be the scissor tailed flycatcher. They are very numerous as they are in OK. Nice image although a tad soft.
