what is the easiest way to take a batch of files, and convert them (using lightroom) all to a low res set for a client. id like to be able to share them with a client but not let them print them on their own? originals are 300dpi. i assume 72dpi would be a good conversion for email and such but not printing? help!?

Export them at a certain size. You can define dimensions... I'd think 1024x1024 bounding would be fine for proofs. Who cares about the DPI, really.
