Hi Everyone,

Here is what you get when you are sitting at the lake and a Grackle lands on the branch right next to you and stays there just long enough to get his picture taken with your 500mm almost hitting him in his head (well not quite, but just barely within minimum focus distance)..

    Grackles are everywhere but I think they are handsome birds. Nice portrait.

    I was so close I never thought I would get focus but it popped right into focus just at the last second..
