Seeing a previous thread sparked a question of mine.

When you sell a photo on smugmug, or any other site you may sell your photos from, does part of 15% porfit that goes to smugmug cover them printing the photos for you? I assume you do not need to print them yourself. How does that whole process work? Thanks.

wave.gif at SmugMug, it works like this.

Say a print costs $1. You sell it for $11. You keep $8.50 and we get $1.50.

    The customer pays $11.

You choose what you are selling it for - it's up to you.

    Does this help?

Yup :D SmugMug uses a company called EZPrints to print and fulfill all their print orders. So all you have to do is post your pictures. When a person comes to your site and buys prints... Refer back to Andy's post about profit margins.

There's also a 100% satisfaction guarantee for all prints.

And if there is a problem, Smuggy handles it... (AKA, makes it go away!) unless of course the problem is with the photo and not the print. I had a couple print issues and even a delivery where it looked like the mailman used the photo to fend off an attack and with one email, all my problems went away! lol
