Back lighting on the D200 top LCD?

I swear, I didn't think there was a back light on it. When I got it cleaned and got it back from the store I turned it on a few times and there was a nice green back light. I loved it but it's not there all the time.

Ugh.

Am I crazy?

    You are not crazy.

Please read the bottom of page 5 in your manual. The power switch is also known as the illuminator switch. Rotating the switch to the light position will temporarily illuminate the LCD panel.

There's also a way to make it illuminate every time the camera goes into active mode. That's how I have mine setup.

Don't have the manual in front of me now. But I'm sure you can find it w/ Mitchell's post.

Can you show me where this is at in the manual? The only option I've ever read is the the backlight stays on when the eposure meter is active.

I'm sure you don't read everything for everything you buy.
