This isn't my bird, it belongs to a friend. I would like to buy (for $20) a Ring Neck Pheasant, but there are no eggs laid yet.
I took this while the bird was running and jumping around from fear. Somehow there isn't much blur from its movements.
I had to leave him/her be. It was scared out of its mind.

Looks like an Asian variety. Very colorful. I hope it has enough room to roam if it is captive. And you say you are buying a ring necked pheasant? I hope you have a nice enclosure for it.

what a beautiful bird, I also agree, if you are planning on keeping something like that, i hope you have a VERY large place for it, and not some tiny cruel setup.

    Thanks for the comments!

Yeah, if I get a Ring Neck, I'll have plenty of room for it, but I might not get one for awhile anyway. Perhaps when I get a place with larger property.

As for that bird and some others, they're in cages in the same ratio as us in bedrooms, dens or home-offices. Which is still kind'a small for them, but the owners are planning on expanding the bird homes.

They can't run around free like a few do in the world,`cos of the Hawks. A few months ago, Hawks have killed some of the fowls, somehow.

But I have fish, so I'm happy with that.nod.gif
