Hi all, first time poster in Dgrin :D Hope these shots are in the right forum, I did a quick search and other urb exploration threads were in here.

The Damen silos are a long abandoned factory near the chicago river on the near south side. I've tried to google up some history on the place but all I could find was that it was used for storing glass making materials. It consists of 3 structures, the actual silos, an office building/warehouse, and loading docks. Here are the some of my favorites, and here's a link to the full gallery. Comments/critiques appreciated, composition, technique, b/w conversion, you name it.

    Hi and welcome to Dgrin!

I have a penchant for this stuff of course, so I am really loving your shots and your use of b/w. Love the lines in the last one in particular.

When I traveled out to Chicago to explore I sure as heck missed these beauties!

I removed the map link you had in your OP simply because I understand where things like that can lead. thumb.gif

    Great set!
