I'm looking for either a sigma or tamron f/2.8 small zoom (17-55, 18-50, 24-70, etc.) for nikon mount. Ideally a DG or DC version designed for APS-C sensors... but let's see what you got.

THanks! :thumb

Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) just ordered it from Amazon at $465 delivered. It scored a 9.12 out of a ten at SLR gear.

BH is listing BOTH the SIGMA 24-70 f2.8 and the 17-70 f2.8-4.5 for $429.....for a crop body I would opt for the 17-70 as I own the 24-70 and it one very fine lens....just not wide enuff for my tastes..........

THanks guys, i'll look into it. I currently have the AF Nikkor 35-70mm 2.8 but it's got the 1.5 x crop so it's not wide at all... i do need a quick wider lens for live music shoots. thumb.gif Thanks!
