Never seen anything like that before, except maybe in the movies. The photographer is Carlos Gutierrez.

That would have to be one of the most amazing photos i have ever seen. Thanks for pointing it out.
Im off to photograph this one next week.....i must admit im a bit tentative about my visit. There have been recent deaths from lava bombs. You get to sit on the very rim as night falls.

Good luck, gus... at least volcanos usually give lots of warning before really big eruptions. That video looked very surreal though, sitting on the rim looking into exploding lava. Looking forward to those pics.
Well that sounds like something you would do. Chill, dodge lava bombs and maybe eat a mango or two.
