I see that the Nikon D3 can accept the "B" type screen (standard BriteView Clear Matte) and the "E" type screen (on demand grid lines).
Katz Eye would be the folks to watch for a split prism finder but I don't see any third party finder screens for the D3. There may be a very good reason for that.
If you contact Katz Eye they would probably be able to tell you the real story and possibilities for the D3.
