I knew I wouldn't have very long to wait for these guys attacking my Hosta's. It is amazing the amount of damage they can cause in a very short time if not checked.

Regards
Bob

Sorry Don for giving you the run around. Is there any way you can get rid of that other thread.

Hi Bob, found them at last, are you using flash or natural light?
last one looks blurred.did you try a head on shot from leaf level? might make for a better composition, you should be able to zoom right in on the face with the mp60. obviously need flash though.

    Hi Phil,

I used natural light as this afternoon was brilliant. However, I tried several times to use the MPE on 1:1 but I couldn't get the full snail in view. I took a few shots of the head but when I looked at them on the computer they came out blurred. The light was so good I never used the flash. I took these shots with my Canon 60mm macro lens. I noticed the last shot was not as clear as the first two. Anyhow, I am sure I will get plenty of practice as I find them evry night I check the Hosta's.
    Regards

I can assure you I don't like them either Brian. I go out late at night and I always find some and I quickly remove them. I will say no more.

Yes I do that with a pair of secateurs so you can guess what happens to them. Apparently throwing them next door doesn't work- they come back again :)
