I was scanning some old negatives recently and ran across this image I had long forgotten about. My wife used to run marathons when we were younger and I was the pit crew. I took this photo while waiting for her in the finish area of the '94 Portland Marathon. The reward for weeks of training and 26 miles of self abuse.... a rose, a tee shirt, and one of these little medals. She still has the medal...
