Bzzzzzzzz..Its not a mosquitto I think

It does not look like a mozzie, anyone have a clue what it is?:scratch Rought attempt at focus stacking. Not sure what RR this is. The "mosquitto" was barely visible.

    IF it was much large than your normal 'mozzie', maybe what we call a 'squiter eater'.

    Thanx all. It was smaller than a mosquitto. Shot on a reversed 50mm with 100mm extension on a 2X TC. Can someone explain some rought RR calculations?headscratch.gif I wish I could shoot like Brian, your focus stacks seem so seemless.

    Bit of guessing on the magnification but suspect you were around 4:1 to 6:1 in total. Easiest thing is to take a photograph of the mm scale of a ruler then mag = sensor width/mm shown in pic.
