nice shot. The DOF seems a little narrow. the tie looks infocus to me, but the face is a little soft.

Thanks for the comment. After I saw your comment, I noticed it as well on the posted picture. When I went back and reviewed the original, I noticed the focus was on the back eye instead of the front. Both eyes are still in good enough focus for printing though, which is why I hadn't noticed it before. This was shot with a 100 mm at f/7.1, so there should be resonable depth. I think the business of the tie is also adding to the confusion. I like this lens because it is sharp without being clinical, and is therefor great for portraits.
