Advanced PS batch process problem

I am trying to make a batch process that will take every gradient from a library in CS3 and apply it as a individual adjustment layer to an image. Ultimately making what would amount to a color changing photo depending on which adjustment layer is visible.
The issue is that some of these libraries are around 100 images so making a batch process manually for each library would take quite awhile and it would be quite preferable to just be able to make a process that would pull every gradient from the current library and do this.
I don't think there is a way to cleanly do this, but is there maybe a way to trick CS3 into doing it? Or a way to modify the action file itself?
If you don't know, but know of a photoshop forum where everyone is a total PS nerd and would see this as a challenge, please point me in that direction!
Thanks!
Justin
