I have no idea what this plant's name is (maybe you do?)
but it made a nice subject. I used a 10D and a Tamron
180mm Macro as well as a Tamron 28-75mm/2.8 Macro for this.
Many images came out burred because of the windy conditions.
With some patience and timing some came out right:

EDIT: Found out that its name is Catchfly

1. Contralight (fillflash with 1/4 CTO camera left)

flower1.jpg

Exposure 180mm at f5, 1/400s, ISO 400

2. In the shade - I took this one a bit earlier today (=less warm light)

flower2.jpg

Exposure: 180mm at f6.3, 1/160s, ISO 400 (tripod used)

3. Groupshot - The last one is an overview shot (fillflash 1/4 CTO camera left)

flower3.jpg

Exposure: 75mm at f5.6, 1/200s, ISO 200

Thank you so much for looking!

The back-lighting in the first is spot on! Very, very nice image.

Well done (with the capture and the patience) thumb.gif

I love the first shot. I am not an expert but I am sure it is a Ragwort but I stand to be corrected.
