I bought this lens used a couple of years ago and never really used it.
Is it a great lens? No.
Is it a sharp lens? Yes.
The biggest problem I see with it is the purple/red fringe that you can get in high contrast areas.
Most of the time I can fix it in Photoshop, but not every time.
If you have a tight budget, student in school, would like to try out a 400mm lens without breaking the bank,
this lens could be for you.
I went into the backyard and took a few JPG shots.

These are not cherry picked shots. These are shots that were just randomly taken in my backyard.
Some of them are a little blurry, that's my fault, not the lenses. All shots were hand held.
I had the photo styles set to Standard with no extra sharpening or any post work done to these.
I live in Saint Paul, Mn.
For a local pick up, I'll knock off $25.
I'll accept Paypal, or a Postal Money order.
