I've been searching and so far no good - but I do enjoy a challenge!

I took this ones picture on my balcony. He/she is no more than 15mm big.

any assistance would be much appreciated

    Hi Michelle, I'm wondering if this guy belongs to the Christmas Beetle family?
    but I'm only guessing, I've been trying to find out what it is too,
