This wee guy arrived into our conservatory yesterday and posed while I took its photo before flying off.

Was it checking out a new place to build a nest?

You are probably right it was looking for somewhere to build. If I had known it was going to pose the way it did I would have used a 60 macro lens which is good for portraits. We have our fair share of sparrows and seagulls too living right by the sea.
