Upload weirdies

Using the simple uploader and a ~10 meg file takes less then 10 sec. and then
it sits there for ~3.5 minutes "checking your photo...:". Is this normal?

Smaller files 2-3m u/l in about 2-3 sec and take at a minimum 1.5 minutes of checking.

Using sister-in-laws pc. My lappy hooked to cell gets the following.
Almost live on the road from Maryland.

Definitely not normal! For each file, the checking should take less time than the upload itself. In my experience, about 1/3 the time.

Hey Allen,

Very weird. It sounds like something in your network config is confused, or is confusing the uploader. First, there's no way a 10 meg file is uploading in 10 seconds, especially through a cell modem, and of course the checking shouldn't take as long as it is. My guess is that something is sending the wrong info that the upload is done, but hasn't completed yet and does so in the "Checking your upload" phase. Also a guess, but I'd bet the total combined times of upload + checking are exactly the same as if it were functioning as expected.

Provided the files are uploading properly, and it's not a horrible irritant to you, I'd say ignore it. If you see more trouble, or this is driving you batty, let us know and we'll do more digging.
