keyword problem

I am having a keyword problem with my new galleries. In the past the
file name was used....
We also look at the filenames of your images. If your filename is "Alvin_Birthday3.jpg", for example, we'll add the keywords "Alvin" and "Birthday" automatically. If your filename is "IMG_23987234.jpg", we'll ignore it.


In my new galleries that doesn't seem to be happening. I think I looked through all of the settings but can't seem to find the problem.

Yeah, they "broke" this feature a little while back. Frankly I never liked it, but some people did.

Supposedly there's a fix due out any day now:

Anyways, I was implementing a script for a different site that would do something similar, so if you can't wait, you could give it a spin:

Oh, but caveat -- it converts filenames into captions. Not keywords, which is the old behavior.

But that was actually the behavior that user voicelit was looking for, so I just wrote to his spec.
