    I have not shot much IR yet but i like the shot alot. personally i would like a little more contrast but thats just me.

    A bit more contrast to punch up those leafs and the seperation will look much more solid. Good job so far thumb.gif

    With the Pentax K10D is that PP IR, filter or converted body?

    the k10d can shoot IR but it isn't as good as some other cameras. I used the hoya r72 filter. I desaturated it and I had to really work the contrast out in PS since the RAW photo was very dark.

    Well some cameras are actually converted for IR shooting. I believe all DSLRs can do it to some extent with a filter, not quite the same AFAIK.

    I do wish to get a filter and try a few myself. All the IR images being posted are inspirational.

    the filter i have was $50. From what I hear, the Nikon D70 shoots IR the best and doesn't need conversion. Pentax k10d actually got the worst IR rating but I won't get a body conversion until I am ready to upgrade to a different camera which won't be for awile. Nice smugmug gallery by the way.

    Yeah, I am not looking to covert anything right away, unless I get another 2ndhand body.
