Wow those shots are certainly breathtaking. I love those kind of shots. I haven't seen any yet never mind trying to capture one. I live in hope as I got my first wee spider yesterday.

The Damsels have prettier faces than the Dragons,
they actually look feminine.

THanks for the comments all - these damsels are rather pretty but they tend to lose their daintyness when you see them ripping the head off a fly.

Michael - tend to find with damsels they either won't let you anywhere close or like the last couple shots, as long as you are careful they will stay put and pretty still even when you are close to them.

Obviously the best place is near a pond although they do move away from the pond they emerged from for a couple of weeks to fatten up before going back to breed.
