We had our IT Staff Picnic at work this Thursday, so I had my coworkers pose for some portraits w/ the new 17-55 f2.8 IS USM that I just traded Pindy for.

I was using the 40D body and my 580EX II flash. We in under a wooden shelter which made for interesting lighting, but all together I'm rather pleased with the way the shots came out.

Comments and feedback welcomed as usual.

Nice expressions and nice lighting. I still remember some photos I took under a picnic shelter a number of years ago and loved the light.

Very nicely done! They do look a tad warm, but that may be on purpose. Nice shots! (And congrats on the new lens!)

Hehe, thanks for the recommendation on the lens, I greatly appreciate it Although sometimes I think I could live without seeing some of these peoples pores so accurately when I zoom in, lol.
