    Thanks
f11, ISO 200, 1/100 shutter. Using my LED head lamp to light the way (so I can see to focus) and flash -3EV.... I just cant seem to get the light right... but then again what is right? MM

Rather like both of these shots. Like the light on the subjects. As you are shooting in the dark ?- not much you can do about the dark BG unless you take a BG with you and place it close behind the subject.

Ohhhh WOW MM :jawdrop I love that second shot, the Hover Fly's face is nicely lit, I think that's a great shot MM clap.gif

The poor fly hanging in the web waiting to be the main course of the day is quite detailed, so often the spiders encaptulate their catch so well, it can often be hard to make out anything more than a body shape.

    Nice work MM thumb.gif ... Skippy :D

Bring a back ground Hmmm... That might work. Do you think a small piece of corrugated plastic, it is bright white would work? I might give it a try tonight. MM

Thank you... It has been so windy and hot here, and I have been working a lot. So my dog and I have been going out a little later for our walk. My neighbors must think I am crazy, here I am lying in a field after dark with a head lamp lighting my subject. Blaze my dog is right by my side (his leash attaches to me at the waist), and I am mumbling some cruse words about the darn wind. MM
