Flowers are hard for me. I want to get the whole flower in focus but the distance between the petals and the center can seem so vast with a macro lens. I like all of them but #3 especial. MM

Excellent shots again Phil. I love them all. I find it so difficult to use the MPE on a flower as I cannot get the whole flower head in so I have to use my 60mm macro and use the MPE if I just want the centre.

Bob
Have to admit I find flowers especially difficult anyway but with things like rhododendrons or azaleas with their long anthers and stamen makes it even more difficult from a composition POV.
The main point though is whether you like them- what would you think if someone else had posted these ?

I love #3 & #4 Phil I planted a heap of bulbs a few weeks ago,
I'm praying they will flower and provide me with something pretty to take photos of.

Nice series. 3 & 5 especially appeal to me.

I also agree that getting an interesting / quality flower photo is no where near as easy as one might think it would be. Michael
