A bee, hard at work on a dandelion:
EXIF:
Olympus E-510
50mm f/2.0 macro lens, set to f/3.2
1/320 sec
ISO 100
I'm pretty new to the "bug thing," so any C&C would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the addiction that is about to engulf you - searching for that bug, beetle, bee or butterfly
My only hint or tip is to follow the lead of Brian V and others who use a higher aperture than you have choosen for this photo - f11.
Look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for the aperture tip -- I tried something similar (f/8 for max. sharpness), but that didn't work too well because it was a cloudy day -- no macro lights (yet!). At least now I know where the local honeybees like to hang out...

Those bees just love YELLOW don't they.
I'm guessing your shot this in natural light right?
Using a flash will allow you to use F stops like F8-F11.
